Jennifer O’Brien is a Dublin based artist whose practice interrogates the historical and personal entanglements embedded within Irish infrastructure.

Focusing on the temporal after conditions of the Irish state's pursuit of modernity, speed and effiency. O’Brien critically enquires how these ambitions continue to shape both landscape and lived experience in contemporary Ireland.

Referring to sites where a potential harmonising between the banal and the spectacular can convene. Often reappropiating the ambient materials and conditions present in these spaces, while also drawing from archival, documentation, and literature material to produce work across installation, film, photography, sculpture, and text.
